"A profound unmitigated loneliness is the only truth of life"
- R.K. Narayan

The mosque is too far from home, so let's do this,
Let's make a weeping child laugh
- Nida Fazli

Who walks so far,
treading the gradient of logic looking for ideas tough to digest,
when kids are so easy to find,
and so easy to make happy?

Who walks so far,
just to be helplessly grasping at reality so hard to reach,
when happiness is so easy to get,
by just buying a kid a toy?

Who walks so far,
with our leaky pot of memory,
dripping thoughts along the way and inviting debate,
when we can dump them all
at the mute kids available here?

Who walks so far,
to needlessly grapple with abstract concepts,
when material joy and hungry kids
are available at hand?

Why walk so far,
why even look for a mosque,
when all that is,
is to be and pass away?
